Why we built MainteQC in Quebec
Field-service software is American, English-only, billed in USD — and knows nothing about GST/QST, Law 25 or Bill 96. We decided to fix that.

Quebec service businesses — plumbing, HVAC, electrical, elevators, snow removal, building maintenance — run on tools designed for the US market. English-only interfaces, USD pricing, "state tax" engines that don't understand GST and QST, and data hosted who-knows-where.
MainteQC is a product of Zasenami, a Montreal company. We built it on a simple conviction: a Quebec service business shouldn't have to fight its own software to stay compliant at home.
What "built for Quebec" actually means
- GST 5% + QST 9.975% calculated correctly (and independently — QST applies to the price, not price-plus-GST, since 2013) on every quote and invoice.
- French first. The entire interface, invoices, emails and client portal exist in French and English — Bill 96 isn't an afterthought.
- Law 25. Primary data hosted in Canada, consent logging, data export and right-to-erasure built in.
- RBQ, CNESST, NEQ. RBQ licence numbers on construction quotes, CNESST holdback on subcontractors, NEQ on documents — the software knows your obligations.
- Billed in Canadian dollars. No exchange-rate surprises on your statement.
Not just compliance
Compliance gets you in the door, but the heart of the product is field operations: real-time dispatch with GPS arrival confirmation, two separate clocks for payroll and billing, GPS mileage, signed quotes, recurring invoicing, a client portal, and a documentary "second brain" with AI search.
